Born in the design studios of Honolulu, RES|SCU began with a simple conviction: everyday objects deserve extraordinary attention. From each hand selected glass to the custom designed packaging.
Every map is drawn from real cartographic data, laser-etched with tolerances measured in microns, on glass selected for optical clarity and weight. You will notice the care and detail.

We made a decision early on: the packaging would be just as considered as the glass inside. No plastics — not in the product, the packaging, or the shipping. Each glass is cradled in robust, rigid walls and wrapped in sustainable honeycomb paper. Every detail deliberate. Nothing wasted.

Our Story
Designed with Aloha
RES|SCU was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, from an architect's obsession with the beauty hidden in everyday objects. We saw city maps — those dense, intricate diagrams of human life — and asked: what if that belonged on glass?
What started as a personal project became a business built on one principle: if it isn't something you'd be proud to give, it doesn't leave our studio.
Living on an island teaches you something about responsibility. Hawaii's ecological beauty is fragile — and that awareness shaped every decision we made about packaging. RES|SCU uses zero plastic in the packaging and shipping of our glasses.
